Job Overview

Monitors department performance; develops, implements, and improves equipment operations; acts as an interface between maintenance technicians and engineering; implements maintenance programs; and maintains detailed maintenance records.

Responsibilities

  • Develop best practices to improve equipment capacity, quality, and reliability.
  • Repair, adjust, and maintain production equipment, machinery, and instruments.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance, total productive maintenance, problem-solving, and contractor activities.
  • Investigate problems, analyze root causes, and derive resolutions using the 8D problem-solving process.
  • Support operational strategies for energy and financial objectives, monitor expenses and profitability, and improve equipment uptime, MTTR, MTBF, and OEE.
  • Evaluate production activities, drive improvements, and ensure technical equipment meets specifications and quality standards.
  • Implement cost-reduction initiatives and contribute to product and process quality design testing.
  • Develop planning standards and procedures for robust PM and TPM processes, containments, and downtime countermeasures.
  • Manage small-scale projects, collaborate on scopes of work, and support new equipment implementation.
  • Drive continuous improvement to create a Lean Manufacturing environment and participate in team meetings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a relevant field.
  • Three or more years of relevant experience, preferably in an automotive environment.
  • Experience with PLCs, 3D CAD, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and computer-controlled systems.
  • Experience with motor drives, sensors, AC/DC converters, lifts, conveyors, paint applications, joining technologies, SAP, programming, offline simulations, project management, and equipment installation.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing methods, process technology, continuous improvement, process layout, troubleshooting, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and decision-making skills.
