Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization
This hourly position supports the operations leadership team by contributing to labor allocation, leading meetings, assigning job duties, coaching for success, creating a safe and collaborative work environment, and driving process improvement. This leader will act as a cultural ambassador who views the business holistically.
The role is highly technical and requires strong problem-solving skills. Leads work closely with department supervisors to monitor workflows, manage dwells, and drive overall shift performance.
Key Relationships
Internal: Operations leadership team, supervisors, and Human Resources.
External: Distribution consumers and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a supervisor to lead a team of up to 50 hourly associates.
- Follow and role-model all standard operating procedures.
- Develop and maintain a safe work environment.
- Reward and recognize performance.
- Train and coach associates to achieve operational goals and service levels.
- Mentor and develop teammates for current and future career opportunities.
- Develop and share best practices.
- Create a positive team environment that encourages insights and feedback to improve processes, adapt to business changes, and stay focused on customer satisfaction.
- Use warehouse tools, including radio-frequency handheld units and computer kiosks, to update transactions in the warehouse management system and log activities in the labor management module.

- Strong knowledge of distribution center operations, including storage methods and material flow.

Physical Requirements
The employee is regularly required to talk or hear; stand or walk; and use fingers, hands, and arms to feel, handle, grip, grasp, lift, push, and pull for up to 12 hours per day. The employee must be able to work in a warehouse environment, operate powered industrial equipment as required, reliably attend scheduled hours, and occasionally sit, bend, twist, climb, balance, lift and carry boxes weighing up to 40 pounds, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of two years of related distribution experience and/or training.
- Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend English.
