Your role
As Lead Data Science Consultant at Capgemini Engineering, you will join the Hybrid Intelligence team, bridging cutting-edge science and advanced technology to solve complex, high-impact problems for R&D teams in industries including life sciences, high-tech, defense, and energy transition.
- Collaborate with scientific and technical clients to understand challenges and deliver innovative solutions.
- Apply data science to real-world problems in AI, manufacturing, and R&D.
- Engage in Data Science and R&D projects involving stakeholder and risk management, requirements gathering, software architecture decisions, and documentation.
- Translate complex technical concepts into understandable solutions for stakeholders.
- Work on interdisciplinary projects combining applied mathematics, AI, scientific computing, and software engineering.
Your profile
You will visit clients in different Dutch cities and support pre-sales activities by translating technical challenges into practical solutions. You should have:
- More than 8 years of relevant experience in R&D, engineering, or software, including significant experience as a Lead Architect for Data & AI projects.
- A foundation in software development or data science, with specialized knowledge of AI, manufacturing, or R&D.
- A scientific or technical background, ideally an MSc or PhD in a relevant field.
- Experience solving complex technical problems and communicating sophisticated concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- A passion for applied mathematics, AI, scientific computing, and software engineering.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Willingness to mentor and guide junior colleagues.

- Salary between €5,000 and €6,500 per month, plus pension contributions and a mobility budget of €900 per month.
