Lead Data Science Consultant - Engineering

What you’ll be working on as a Lead Data Science Consultant

You will join our Data & AI team, focused on solving complex, high-impact problems for R&D teams in industries such as life sciences, high-tech, defense, and energy transition.

• Collaborate with scientific and technical clients to understand challenges and deliver innovative solutions.
• Apply data science to real-world problems in AI/ML, manufacturing, and R&D.
• Engage in Data Science and R&D projects involving stakeholder and risk management, requirements gathering, software architecture decisions, and documentation.
• Translate complex technical concepts into understandable solutions for stakeholders.
• Work on interdisciplinary projects combining applied mathematics, AI/ML, scientific computing, and software engineering.

Your profile

• More than 8 years of relevant experience in R&D, engineering, or software, including significant experience as a Lead Architect for Data & AI projects.
• A background in software development or data science, with specialized knowledge of AI/ML, manufacturing, or R&D.
• A scientific or technical background, ideally with an MSc or PhD.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• A passion for applied mathematics, AI/ML, scientific computing, and software engineering.
• Willingness to mentor and guide junior colleagues.

You will visit clients in different Dutch cities and support pre-sales activities. EU passport holders only due to client screening requirements.

• Gross salary of €5,500–€6,500 per month, including a mobility allowance of €900, performance bonus, and 8% holiday allowance.
