Junior Software Developer (Python and Node.js)

Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Software Developer to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you will work alongside experienced developers to design, build, and maintain web applications, contribute to backend services, and help deliver intelligent, AI-powered solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using Python and Node.js.
- Build responsive, user-friendly web interfaces using React.js.
- Assist in the development and integration of AI/ML models into production applications.
- Work with LLM APIs such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and Gemini to build AI-powered features.
- Support data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation pipelines.
- Collaborate with designers, product managers, and senior engineers.
- Participate in code reviews and improve code quality and best practices.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and performance issues.
- Analyze requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Use NX-Open APIs for prototyping, development, and complex solutions.
- Build and deploy projects to test environments.
- Create architecture documentation and specifications and develop UI logic.
- Develop quick proofs of concept with emerging technologies.
- Manage customer communication and coordinate meetings for technical decisions.
- Comply with organizational HR and HSE policies and practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Three to six years of relevant experience in the listed technical areas.
- Proficiency in Python, C#/.NET, VB, C/C++, and scripting.
- Working knowledge of Node.js, RESTful APIs, HTML, XML data processing, and React.js.
- Strong knowledge of NXOpen/UFUNC APIs, Siemens NX, modelling, and drafting.
- Familiarity with AI and deep learning, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
- Experience with NumPy and Pandas, Git, databases, and software development life-cycle practices.
- Basic understanding of prompt engineering, LLM APIs, architectural patterns, DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud technologies.
- Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience building or fine-tuning machine learning models.
- Familiarity with RAG pipelines or vector databases such as Pinecone and Weaviate.
- Exposure to MLOps tools including MLflow and Weights & Biases.
- Experience with AWS SageMaker, Google Vertex AI, or Azure ML.
- Familiarity with Docker and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
