Junior Data Engineer

Your role

As a Data Engineer, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of modern data platforms and data pipelines that support business reporting, analytics, and operational processes. Working alongside experienced engineers and stakeholders, you will help build scalable solutions for processing, transforming, and managing data in cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining data pipelines using Python and AWS services
• Supporting ETL/ELT workflows for ingesting, transforming, and loading data from multiple sources
• Working with structured and semi-structured datasets to ensure data quality and consistency
• Writing efficient SQL queries and supporting data model design activities
• Collaborating with engineering, analytics, and business teams to understand data requirements
• Monitoring and troubleshooting data pipelines and production data issues
• Contributing to CI/CD processes and automation activities related to data platforms
• Supporting cloud-based data solutions and participating in continuous improvement initiatives

Your profile

• Experience with Python development
• Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases
• Hands-on experience with AWS services such as S3, Lambda, Glue, Redshift, Athena, or similar
• Understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data processing workflows
• Familiarity with data pipeline development and maintenance
• Experience working with version control systems such as Git
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills and willingness to learn in a collaborative environment

Nice to have

• Experience with Apache Airflow
• Knowledge of Spark or PySpark
• Exposure to data warehousing concepts
• Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with dbt, Databricks, or cloud-native data platforms
