Technical Analysis & Solution Design
- Translate functional requirements into detailed technical analysis and implementation specifications.
- Analyse impacts on Java applications, APIs, backend services, interfaces, databases, and dependent systems.
- Identify technical dependencies, constraints, risks, and integration challenges.
- Define and document API contracts, interface behaviours, message flows, data mappings, and error-handling mechanisms.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and quality gates.
Testing & Quality Assurance
- Write and maintain unit, integration, and automated tests.
- Support testers by explaining technical scenarios, interface behaviours, integration flows, and expected results.
- Participate in test preparation, defect analysis, troubleshooting, and root cause investigations.
- Ensure solutions meet quality, performance, security, and maintainability requirements.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and solution-oriented mindset.
- Strong Java development and technical analysis skills; Java 21/25 preferred.
- Experience with backend development, distributed systems, APIs, integration patterns, and Agile squads.
- Experience designing secure, maintainable, and scalable applications.
- Understanding of integrations between Java applications, mainframe systems, and external partners.
- Proficient written and spoken English.
Tools and Knowledge
Experience with IntelliJ IDEA or Visual Studio Code, Git platforms, Maven or Gradle, API testing tools, Swagger/OpenAPI, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Agile tools, monitoring and observability tools, and BPMN/UML modelling tools. Knowledge of Java, REST APIs, distributed architectures, API contracts, secure coding, testing, CI/CD, Scrum, and technical impact analysis is required. Banking, payments, cards, digital banking, and card management knowledge are significant assets.
Qualifications
Engineering graduate with 10–14 years of total experience.
