Java Backend Software Engineer

Your Role

As a Java Backend Software Engineer, you will be part of a multidisciplinary Agile team responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and high-performance backend solutions. You will contribute to the full software development lifecycle, working with modern Java technologies, cloud platforms, microservices architectures, and event-driven systems.

• Develop and maintain backend applications using Java 17, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs.
• Design and implement scalable microservices architectures following best practices and design patterns.
• Build and optimize integrations with PostgreSQL, MySQL, and NoSQL databases.
• Develop event-driven solutions using Kafka and RabbitMQ.
• Contribute to cloud-native applications deployed on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Ensure software quality, security, scalability, and performance.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with international, cross-functional teams.

Your Profile

• Higher education degree or attendance in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science and Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience developing Java-based web applications, including Java 17, Spring Framework, and REST APIs.
• Strong knowledge of microservices, object-oriented programming, design patterns, security, and scalable distributed systems.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, NoSQL databases, Kafka, and RabbitMQ.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP, DevOps methodologies, and Agile practices.
• Fluent English is mandatory.
• Experience with TDD and BDD.
• CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and frontend technologies are nice to have.
