What is the opportunity?
CACEIS Malaysia has been a cornerstone of asset servicing since 2008, providing services to institutional clients across Europe, including custody and cash clearing, fund administration, fund distribution, master data services, market solutions, group invoicing, reconciliations, and private equity and real estate solutions.
The Risks & Controls team works across first-line business units, technology, and support functions to provide management with an informed opinion on control effectiveness. The team strengthens the first line of defense through permanent controls for operational and IT teams, including incident monitoring, business risk mapping reviews, and second-level controls.
As part of the Information Systems and IT Security Risks & Controls team, you will manage operational incidents in coordination with IT, perform level 2.1 controls, and review IT risk mapping in coordination with the second line of defense.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the correct description and recording of IT incidents.
- Coordinate IT and operational staff during incident resolution when necessary.
- Confirm that incident causes are correctly identified and that remediation plans are monitored.
- Review IT and security control plans and perform level 2.1 controls.
- Write control reports and issue recommendations where results are unsatisfactory.
- Present consolidated control results in dedicated committees.
- Support IT and security teams in establishing risk maps and challenge IT and security risk assessments.
- Review recorded errors and check the consistency of amounts with incident records.
- Prepare risk indicator reports covering reported incidents and action plans.
- Coordinate crisis resolution when operational activities are affected.
Skills and qualifications
- Relevant university degree in Information Technology.
- Relevant risk and asset servicing experience is preferred but not essential.
- Preferably a minimum of six years' experience in the financial or information technology industry.
- Comprehensive business knowledge of structures, processes, procedures, and technology.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including communicating results and recommendations to senior management.
- Ability to build collaborative relationships and manage stakeholders in complex environments.
- Strong analytical, synthesis, and critical-thinking skills.
- General IT knowledge and multi-stakeholder coordination skills.
- English language proficiency.
Working hours: 9:00 AM–6:00 PM. Region: Malaysia.
