Mercedes-Benz U.S. International, Inc. is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated International Intern to join its Supply Chain team in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. This paid internship provides hands-on experience in project management, business intelligence, digitalization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Interns will contribute to real business projects, support data-driven solutions, and work with stakeholders to identify and implement process improvements. Strong performers may take ownership of individual projects and drive solutions from idea to implementation.
Essential Functions
- Keep detailed and up-to-date records of project milestones, deliverables, and timelines.
- Support the development of dashboards, analyses, automations, and other digital solutions that improve Supply Chain processes.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze processes, and identify improvement opportunities.
- Update internal documents, including team presentations, project documentation, and Microsoft Teams or SharePoint channels.
- Assist with planning, coordination, and logistics for team events, workshops, and meetings.
- Provide general support for meetings, presentations, project implementations, and other project-related activities.
Qualifications
Applicants must be students in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field, or have an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Fluent in English, orally and in writing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Effective communication skills with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with, or willingness to learn, agile, waterfall, or hybrid project management methodologies.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and handle multiple responsibilities.
- Understanding of gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with data, interpret insights, and support decision-making.
- Experience with or interest in learning Microsoft Power BI, Power Automate, and Power Apps is preferred but not required.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled at a university or in a gap year between Bachelor's and Master's degrees.
- Studies outside the United States.
- At least three semesters of study in a relevant field.
- Availability for a minimum of six months.
Preferred start date: April 2027.
