Mercedes-Benz U.S. International, Inc. is hiring an international student for a paid internship supporting supply chain management and project management at its advanced automotive manufacturing facilities in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama.
Essential Functions
- Develop, update, and report KPIs to provide visibility and track topics related to the supply of parts to production.
- Gain knowledge about supply chain processes revolving around series production.
- Learn how multiple departments within the global Daimler organization contribute to the broader supply chain.
Other Regular Daily Tasks
- Develop time-management skills and learn how information flows through an organization so stakeholders remain aware of the current situation.
- Learn the level of work expected to succeed at MBUSI.
- Assist the Material Requirements Planning group with MRP and project management tasks.
- Lead meetings with MRPs to ensure KPIs are tracked, investigated, and resolved.
Qualifications
Education: Student in Supply Chain Management or a related area, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Fluent in English, both oral and written.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Power BI is an advantage.
- SAP knowledge is an advantage.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in university or in a gap year between a bachelor's and master's degree.
- Studies outside the United States; applications from students currently studying in the United States are not accepted.
- At least three semesters of study in a relevant field.
- Available for six months.
