Mercedes-Benz U.S. International, Inc. is hiring an international student intern to support Supply Chain Management and the Executive Office of the Vice President of Logistics at its Tuscaloosa, Alabama site. This is a paid internship.
MBUSI manufactures luxury SUV models, including electric vehicles, and produces lithium-ion batteries at its Alabama campuses. The company promotes teamwork, safety, quality, continuous improvement, and a positive team culture.
Essential Functions
- Support the Executive Office of the Vice President of Logistics
- Organize management workshops
- Support Supply Chain orientation and onboarding
- Manage the Supply Chain Social Intranet page
- Support the implementation of Positive Team Culture Initiatives in Supply Chain
Other Regular Daily Tasks
- Organize and facilitate cross-functional meetings
- Collect and report KPI data
- Create top-level management presentations
- Create and distribute meeting minutes
Qualifications
Education: Student in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related area, and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills:
- Fluent in English and German, orally and in writing
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Team-oriented
- Self-reliant
- Good organizational skills
- Logistics background is a plus
- Mercedes experience is a plus
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in university or in a gap year between a Bachelor's and Master's degree
- Studies outside the United States; applications from students currently studying in the United States are not accepted
- At least three semesters of study in a relevant field
- Available for a minimum of six months
Start Date
Preferred start date: February 2027. The position is available to start immediately.
