Mercedes-Benz U.S. International, Inc. is hiring an intern to support Human Relations and Organizational Development at its Tuscaloosa, Alabama, manufacturing site.
Essential Functions
- Steer an organizational development training project.
- Communicate with training companies and help organize training for employees.
- Promote internal trainings and career opportunities.
- Support the assessment center process for candidates with leadership potential.
- Plan, organize, and implement Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives.
- Support DEI communication and promotion across MBUSI.
Other Regular Daily Tasks
- Support communication of training highlights to the whole plant.
- Prepare team meetings and presentations.
- Support other training and development topics.
Qualifications
- Student in Business Management, Human Resources, Psychology, or a related area, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Fluent in English, both oral and written.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Structured, organized, and self-driven.
- Project expertise and strong communication skills.
- Intercultural interest.
- German language skills are a plus.
- Previous HR internships are a plus.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled at a university or in a gap year between a Bachelor's and Master's degree.
- Studies outside the United States; applications from students currently studying in the United States are not accepted.
- At least three semesters of study in a relevant field.
- Availability for a minimum of six months.
