Mercedes-Benz U.S. International, Inc. is hiring an international student intern for Development Engineering Exterior/Interior at its Tuscaloosa County, Alabama site. This is a paid internship supporting the development and manufacture of Mercedes-Benz luxury and electric SUVs.

Essential Functions
- Coordinate and collaborate with different departments, including Supplier Quality, Process Engineering, VOCA, Testing, and Logistics.
- Independently prepare and conduct trials, including detailed documentation of results.
- Analyze root causes for issues affecting problems in the field.
- Support short-term countermeasures on the production line.
- Assist in developing long-term countermeasures.
- Support reporting and meetings.
Qualifications
Education: Student in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related area, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Necessary skills:
- Fluent in English, orally and in writing.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Preferred skills:
- Ability to think critically and apply logical reasoning to problem-solving.
- Interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage different tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Experience in an automotive manufacturing environment, preferably Mercedes-Benz.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a university or in a gap year between a Bachelor's and Master's degree.
- Studies outside the United States.
- At least three semesters of study in a relevant field.
- Availability for a minimum of six months.
Compensation and Benefits
- Paid internship with an hourly rate of $18.
- Coverage of visa costs.
- $700 monthly housing stipend.
