Tasks
Mercedes-Benz U.S. International, Inc. is seeking an intern to support data management and digitalization initiatives across supplier performance and procurement operations in North America.
Mercedes-Benz U.S. International, Inc. manufactures luxury SUVs and electric vehicles at its Alabama facilities and produces high-performance lithium-ion batteries at its Bibb County campus.
- Contribute to scalable digital tools that enhance supplier performance and procurement.
- Support automation and analytics projects using Power BI, PowerApps, and Python.
- Collaborate with capacity, quality, and procurement teams across Mercedes-Benz production sites in Mexico and the United States.
- Participate in agile digital initiatives focused on innovation and continuous improvement.
- Collect and organize supplier data for cross-location analysis.
- Build basic dashboards to track supplier performance.
- Participate in daily, weekly, and monthly meetings.
- Organize and clean supplier data.
- Test and develop new digital tools and provide feedback.
- Create simple reports or presentation slides.
- Learn new technology tools and platforms.
- Take notes and follow up on action items.
- Coordinate team events.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related area, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Basic Python, SQL, and Excel skills for data tasks.
- Basic knowledge of Power BI, PowerApps, and automation tools.
- Familiarity with Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
- Awareness of AI/ML and data visualization concepts.
- Ability to work in diverse teams.
- Strong interest in learning and problem-solving.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled at a university or in a gap year between a bachelor’s and master’s degree.
- Studying outside the United States.
- At least three semesters of study in a relevant field.
- Available for a minimum of six months.
