Mercedes-Benz U.S. International, Inc. is hiring an intern to support Central Controlling activities at its Tuscaloosa, Alabama, site.
Essential Functions
- Work on projects based on current needs, including optimizing financial reporting processes and automating reports.
- Create reporting dashboards with Power BI.
- Further develop and optimize SharePoint.
- Contribute fresh ideas for continuous improvement.
- Further develop and optimize the approval process for purchase requisitions.
- Track cost-saving measures and optimize related processes and reporting.
- Support general business processes involving the Finance functions of an international company.
- Support controlling activities and take responsibility for selected process steps, such as updating cost planning with business partners.
- Support month-end closing activities, including uploading monthly headcount and cost actuals into TM1, performing sense checks, and conducting deviation analysis.
- Support reporting activities from Mercedes-Benz U.S. International, Inc. to Mercedes-Benz AG in Germany.
- Prepare presentations to support management decision-making.
- Support daily operations of the TM1 financial planning system.
Qualifications
Applicants must be students in Finance, Controlling, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, or have an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Fluent English, oral and written
- Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- SAP
- Power BI
- Power Query

Requirements
- Currently enrolled at a university or in a gap year between a Bachelor's and Master's degree
- Studies outside the United States; applications from students currently studying in the United States are not accepted
- At least three semesters of study in a relevant field
- Availability for at least six months
