Intern - Software Engineer

Join the adidas Digital Experience team at the Amsterdam headquarters as a Software Engineering Intern. You will help develop and test consumer-facing web and mobile applications that power adidas digital stores globally.

What you’ll do and learn

• Write code for adidas online stores used around the world.
• Script automated tests.
• Attend Agile ceremonies, including daily standups, refinements, and retrospectives.
• Gain hands-on exposure to frontend and full-stack web development.
• Develop skills in TypeScript, React, Node.js, automated testing, and AI coding assistants such as Claude and GitHub Copilot.
• Use AI coding assistants to accelerate development while critically reviewing and validating their output.
• Build confidence working in an international team.

• Enrolled as a full-time student for the entire duration of the internship.
• Studying Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Available for the full internship period from February 1, 2027 to July 31, 2027.
• Comfortable working in English, both speaking and writing.
• Motivated to learn, curious, and open to feedback.
• Interested in web development, e-commerce, and modern JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks.
• Basic knowledge of TypeScript, React, or Node.js.
• Passion for sport or an active lifestyle.

Internship conditions

• Duration: 6 months, from February 1, 2027 to July 31, 2027.
• Working hours: 39 hours per week, full-time.
• Contract type: Internship; student status required throughout.

• Location: Hoogoorddreef 9A, 1101 BA Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
• Transportation costs covered by adidas.
