Capgemini is recruiting for a joint Data Engineer / Data Scientist internship within the Insights & Data practice. During the interview, the preferred path will be determined based on the candidate’s interests, skills, and aptitude.
Your tasks
- Programming in Python and working with data using SQL.
- Preparing, processing, and analysing data for project solutions.
- Learning the business specifics of the assigned project area.
- Participating in a full training programme and in commercial projects and proofs of concept under the guidance of experienced mentors.
- For the Data Engineering path, processing data using Snowflake, Databricks, SQL, and Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud environments.
- For the Data Science path, preparing data for model training, building and optimising machine learning models, and presenting and visualising results.
Your profile
- Student or graduate of a technical, analytical, mathematical, or related field, such as computer science, mathematics, physics, or economics.
- Basic knowledge of Python and SQL.
- Availability of at least 32 hours per week and interest in long-term cooperation.
- English proficiency of at least B2.
- For the Data Science path, good academic-level knowledge of mathematics and statistics, including calculus, algebra, probability, and statistics.
- Openness to employment under a civil-law contract for the duration of the internship.
Nice to have
- For Data Science: fundamentals of machine learning and neural networks, knowledge of Generative AI and LLMs, and familiarity with TensorFlow, PyTorch, matplotlib, Pandas, and scikit-learn.
- For Data Engineering: basic knowledge of Scala, cloud technologies, and distributed data-processing tools.
