Mercedes-Benz is looking for a motivated, curious and detail-oriented Data Analytics Intern to join the team for a minimum six-month full-time internship commencing in January 2027. This opportunity offers hands-on experience at the intersection of data analytics, data engineering and agile project management in a fast-paced, international environment.

The intern will work alongside experienced colleagues, gain exposure to modern data platforms and contribute to strategic data initiatives supporting Mercedes-Benz's overseas markets.

Data Analytics & Data Platforms

Understand the overall data landscape for Mercedes-Benz in the Region Overseas Market, including data ingestion, data transformation, data modelling, reporting and data science.
Prepare an overall view of the data landscape and suggest automations or improvements wherever possible.
Gain hands-on experience with MS Azure services used in the platform.
Understand data governance aspects of the data platform and prepare a report.

Agile Project Management

Participate in daily stand-ups, scrum sessions and agile project activities.
Assist in preparing and maintaining online collaboration tools such as SharePoint, Confluence and Jira.
Create and manage project-relevant documentation, including presentations and Visio diagrams.
Assist in mitigating project impediments during the agile process.
Learn about Mercedes-Benz Agile methodology and project-specific topics.

Strategic & Team Coordination

Participate in and assist with relevant events, workshops, meetings and team activities, including preparation materials.
Support team strategic activities related to reporting, Nest Best (NBx), analytics use cases and Data Lake.
Provide ad-hoc support, including documentation and follow-up on team topics for the region or specific markets.

Technical Exposure

Support data modelling, application development in PySpark, code cataloguing in Python, Azure DevOps and general data engineering on Databricks.
Perform data analysis with SQL.

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in IT, Business or a related field; an IT-relevant study field is preferred.
Highly motivated, independent and reliable team player with a positive working and learning attitude.
Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
Knowledge of project management, IT solution lifecycles and data analytics or big data is an advantage.
Experience with MS Azure, including Databricks and Azure Data Factory, is beneficial.
Exposure to Python, PySpark or SQL is an advantage.
