Job description

Primark is seeking an HR Generalist - People & Culture Administrator to join the People & Culture team supporting a store with at least 100 colleagues. The role offers a permanent, full-time position with opportunities for professional growth and possible relocation support within Italy.

Contract and benefits

  • Permanent employment contract.
  • Full-time, 40 hours per week, five days out of seven, with shifts from Monday to Sunday.
  • Gross annual salary of €28,500 over 14 payments, with third-level classification under the ConfCommercio Commerce, Distribution and Services collective agreement.
  • Housing contribution of up to €2,000 gross per month for 18 months and reimbursement of relocation expenses.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Store People & Culture Business Partner, you will progressively take responsibility for:

  • Administration: entering attendance records, shift changes, absences, holidays, and managing payslips.
  • Organisation: understanding scheduling processes, supporting managers in creating schedules based on commercial needs, and organising holiday plans.
  • Recruitment: publishing vacancies, screening CVs, and interviewing candidates for sales assistant roles.
  • Training: managing onboarding and induction for new colleagues and supporting development plans.
  • Safety: organising mandatory training, reporting, personal protective equipment, and emergency plans.

Requirements

  • Experience as an HR Generalist or HR Specialist in a structured organisation.
  • Positive, energetic, dynamic, collaborative, and able to solve problems.
  • Strong people skills, relationship-building ability, and empathy.
  • Planning and organisational skills.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Good knowledge of IT systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Availability for full-time work, 40 hours per week, Monday to Sunday.
  • Willingness to relocate within Italy, with the option to express a preference between Northern Italy and Central-Southern Italy.
