Mercedes-Benz Vans is expanding its LCV production capacity with an entirely new plant next to its existing facility in Jawor. Mercedes-Benz Manufacturing Poland is looking for a Head of Production Paint Shop - Top Coat to help shape the future of mobility.

Tasks

Ensure continued improvement of paint shop processes to increase productivity and quality standards.
Develop, test, and implement production process improvements in cooperation with maintenance.
Contribute to planning and implementing new work processes to improve productivity and quality.
Monitor production processes and coordinate production flow across departments.
Identify issues and bottlenecks, define cost targets, and implement corrective measures where necessary.
Report on production progress and define maintenance and repair activities.
Assess new designs and their impact on production processes, quality, efficiency, and resources.
Develop production layouts and ensure compliance with environmental, safety, regulatory, and quality requirements.
Lead 2–6 engineers and 4–6 group leaders as direct reports, with 150–200 indirect reports.
Define performance goals, conduct performance reviews, and support employee development and qualification.
Plan, maintain, and meet department budgets while managing personnel allocation efficiently.

Qualifications

5–8 years of experience in vehicle manufacturing and paint shop management.
Extensive knowledge of corrosion protection, paint application processes, and automated and robotic equipment.
Excellent knowledge of LEAN manufacturing and its application in a modern work environment.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in an intercultural, fast-paced, changing, and growing environment.
Fluent English; German and Polish where applicable.
Internal candidates must have a PV44 certificate.
