Front of House Manager

Purpose

The Front of House Manager will oversee all operations at the Durbanville Hills Tasting Room and Olive Grove Bistro, with a primary focus on customer and consumer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Plan menus and manage food costs to agreed levels.
• Drive promotion and sales of destination offerings, experiences, and products.
• Develop and implement initiatives to drive direct-to-consumer revenue for the brand home.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement.
• Manage day-to-day execution of the CRM strategy and drive database and wine club sign-ups with the brand team.
• Ensure the brand home's total P&L target is achieved.
• Assist with Opex and CAPEX budgets, forecasting, and target setting.
• Implement the integrated brand home consumer engagement plan.
• Drive operational efficiencies, minimize stock and cash losses, and maintain operational excellence.
• Manage, process, and dispatch online and tasting-room wine orders.
• Create STOs for weekly wine orders to maintain sufficient stock at the brand home.
• Control daily banking and cash floats and process weekly sales, staff orders, and promotional liquor orders on SAP.
• Handle general administration and procurement support.
• Manage sourcing and purchasing of merchandise and food offerings.
• Manage staff rosters for service, kitchen, and housekeeping teams.
• Manage all aspects of the Durbanville Hills guest experience across the Tasting Room and Olive Grove Bistro.
• Ensure consumer and corporate VIP satisfaction and customer service excellence.
• Train front-of-house staff in service excellence, food and beverage management, and sales skills.
• Manage staff and consumer experiences to deliver a world-class guest experience.
• Follow organizational policies and procedures and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
