South Pacific Brewery has an immediate requirement for a Forklift Operator to join its Logistics Team based in Lae, reporting to the Depot Supervisor - Lae.
Main duties include
- Operate forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse safely.
- Conduct routine inspections of forklifts to ensure they are in safe working condition.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Adhere to the Brewery's Quality and Food Safety Management System and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving, storing, and organizing products.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor immediately.
Qualification and Experience
- Experience as a Forklift Operator in an FMCG industry or similar.
- Valid class 7 forklift driver's license.
- Experience in warehouse operations with a strong understanding of inventory management.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices.
- Background knowledge of forklift safety operations.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Result oriented, shows initiative, and maintains a sense of urgency.
- Able to work with minimum supervision.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Flexibility to work on shift rotations and during weekends as required.
- Must have a valid Police Clearance.
