Job Purpose

Responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising transportation and fleet operations to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective distribution of finished goods while maintaining high service levels. The role oversees transportation planning, fleet scheduling, driver management, vehicle utilization, fuel monitoring, compliance with safety standards, and continuous improvement initiatives to support business operations and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transportation Planning & Distribution: Develop and execute transportation plans, coordinate vehicle allocation and dispatching, optimize transportation costs, and ensure timely delivery of finished goods and return of empties.
  • Fleet Operations & Scheduling: Supervise daily fleet operations, plan driver schedules and rotations, maintain centralized fleet schedules, monitor vehicle availability, and support preventive maintenance programs.
  • Vehicle Tracking & Operational Control: Monitor fleet movements and vehicle status, maintain movement and trip records, and respond to breakdowns, traffic delays, and other disruptions.
  • Driver Management: Coordinate driver activities, support recruitment and onboarding, monitor performance and compliance, and identify coaching and development opportunities.
  • Fleet Performance & Fuel Management: Monitor fuel consumption, fleet utilization, downtime, delivery performance, and operational KPIs while supporting cost and productivity improvements.
  • Safety, Compliance & Sustainability: Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, legal requirements, site access rules, and sustainability objectives. Report and investigate incidents and ensure corrective actions.
  • Asset & Service Provider Management: Monitor transportation assets, coordinate maintenance, and evaluate outsourced transportation service providers.
  • Reporting & Continuous Improvement: Prepare performance reports and dashboards, analyze transportation trends, and recommend process improvements to reduce losses and enhance efficiency.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration is preferable.
  • 1–3 years of experience in warehousing management, distribution, and transportation planning, preferably in FMCGs.
  • Excellent command of English.
  • Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills; Power BI is a plus.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP is preferable.
