What is the opportunity?
The Senior Business Analyst will act as a central coordination and leadership point within the ETF organisation. This role will drive ETF product enhancements, manage cross-functional initiatives involving internal and external stakeholders and lead strategic initiatives. The successful candidate will combine strong project management and business analysis skills with deep knowledge of ETFs and a solid technical background.
What will you do?
Product Enhancement & Change Delivery
- Lead end-to-end delivery of ETF product enhancements, including new features, operational improvements, data and reporting enhancements, and technology changes.
- Translate product strategy and roadmaps into clear requirements and project plans.
- Coordinate design workshops with subject matter experts.
- Track delivery timelines, manage risks and issues, and escalate where necessary.
ETF Expertise & Technical Insight
- Apply understanding of ETFs, including structure, issuance models, operational lifecycle, primary and secondary markets, and stakeholders.
- Work with IT to translate business needs into functional specifications and understand technical constraints and architecture impacts.
- Lead project committees and produce appropriate materials.
- Own project plans and track progress against agreed timelines.
- Contribute to data quality, reporting capabilities and system integrations supporting ETF operations and client servicing.
- Act as a subject matter expert and support ETF operational teams.
Process Improvement & Governance
- Analyse ETF processes end-to-end and propose improvements to efficiency, control and client experience.
- Design and document target operating models, workflows and procedures.
- Ensure changes adhere to governance, risk and compliance standards.
- Support the development of best practices within the ETF organisation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent; post-secondary education in accounting, finance or business is preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in a business analyst or similar financial-services role, preferably with exposure to ETFs, index funds or related products.
- Minimum experience level: 6–10 years.
- Ability to work with Operations, Product, Technology, Relationship Management and external stakeholders.
- Comfort with system workflows, data models, reporting tools and integration concepts.
- Strong analytical, communication, presentation, negotiation, organisational and time-management skills.
- Risk management and mitigation focus.
- Self-starter with ownership and ability to manage multiple initiatives under tight deadlines.
- Client-focused mindset.
- Willingness to travel occasionally, primarily to Luxembourg and Paris.
- French language proficiency is an advantage but not essential.
