What is the opportunity?

The ETF Service Department develops investment solutions to help clients reach their financial goals. This position is a key role within the ETF Services team, responsible for receiving and processing ETF primary market orders and related activity from Authorised Participants and Market Makers.

The role acts as a direct contact and escalation point for issuers' Capital Markets and Operations teams and Authorised Participants, while maintaining strong cooperation with CACEIS stakeholders to deliver operational excellence and best-in-class solutions.

What will you do?

ETF Operations

  • Manage end-to-end processing of ETF primary market creation and redemption orders, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and adherence to service level agreements.
  • Prepare, calculate and validate Primary Market Trading Components, including the review of component securities, quantities and pricing.
  • Produce and validate ETF cash confirmations.
  • Apply expert knowledge of Portfolio Composition Files, ETF issuance models and settlement processes.
  • Ensure transactions are processed accurately and in accordance with internal controls, regulatory requirements and operational procedures.

Client and Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the primary operational contact and escalation point for Authorised Participants, ETF issuers and Capital Markets teams.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Investigate and resolve complex operational queries, exceptions and settlement issues.
  • Lead operational and client service review meetings and support service enhancements and operational improvements.

Operational Excellence

  • Monitor operational quality, productivity and risk metrics, taking ownership of issues and driving timely resolution.
  • Maintain accurate process documentation and ensure appropriate operational controls are followed.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce operational risk and enhance efficiency.
  • Support new products, regulatory changes and strategic initiatives affecting ETF Operations.

Collaboration and Technical Expertise

  • Serve as a subject matter expert within the ETF Operations team.
  • Provide guidance and support to colleagues and share knowledge and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver operational excellence and successful client outcomes.
  • Contribute to projects and change initiatives aligned with the wider ETF strategy.

Training and experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 5+ years' experience at a senior level in ETF Transfer Agency, Fund Administration and/or Custody.
  • Strong understanding of ETF Capital Markets and the ETF operating model.
  • In-depth knowledge of ETF fund services and operational processes.
  • Expertise in the ETF ecosystem, operations, industry trends and competitor services.
  • Knowledge of Actual Cost structures across Equity and Fixed Income products.

Skills needed

  • Strong commercial acumen and sound business judgement.
  • Client-focused approach and excellent interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong organisation, planning, prioritisation, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing deadlines and remain composed under pressure.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Project management skills and a continuous improvement mindset.

Experience with a leading ETF service provider or asset management organisation is desirable, as is knowledge of additional exchange-traded products such as ETNs and ETCs. Occasional travel to Luxembourg and Paris may be required. French language proficiency is an advantage but not essential.
