Tasks and objectives
- Own specific brake control system functions, such as ABS, ESC, TCS and VDC, throughout the full system development cycle.
- Lead concept definition, requirements engineering, function architecture and interface management for brake control system functions.
- Manage interfaces with ADAS, powertrain, EPS and other relevant systems.
- Steer suppliers in function development and support functional safety engineering and management.
- Define function validation strategies, review test results and ensure function readiness.
- Lead issue resolution, including root cause analysis, countermeasure development, validation and release.
- Drive continuous improvement and robust issue resolution before and after product launch.
- Support brake control system component development in China and provide technical support to BBAC R&D.
- Work with Field Quality on issues in the Chinese market.
Qualifications
- Master's degree or above in electrical engineering, computer engineering, information engineering, embedded systems, automotive engineering or a related field.
- Profound knowledge of chassis systems function, software and hardware design, testing and release at an OEM or Tier 1 supplier.
- Proficiency in automotive brake control systems, processes, standards and toolchains.
- Strong knowledge of cross-domain vehicle network communication protocols and Automotive AUTOSAR architecture.
- Knowledge of Vector diagnosis software such as CANoe, CANape and CANalyzer.
- Willingness to travel within China and abroad for launches and supplier issue resolution.
- Strong ownership, motivation, planning, organization, communication and teamwork skills.
- Native Chinese and fluent English required; German is a plus.
- Adequate driving skills; internal high-level dynamic driving test qualification is preferred.
