CS Group Canada, a subsidiary of CS Group and part of the Sopra Steria Group, develops and certifies safety-critical systems for the aerospace, electrical, and autonomous driving industries.
We are looking for a detail-oriented Embedded Software Test / Verification & Validation Engineer to support testing activities within an HSIT team in an automotive environment.
You will help ensure the reliability, performance, and quality of embedded software components while working with development teams and established tools and processes for CI/CD, integration, and tracking.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute test plans and test cases.
- Perform test campaigns and analyze results.
- Prepare test reports and related documentation.
- Ensure traceability between design requirements and testing activities.
- Track defects and issues in JIRA.
- Identify the root causes of defects detected during testing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Must be located in or around Ottawa.
- 3+ years of experience in embedded software testing / V&V.
- Proficiency in C++ and Python; Pytest is preferred.
- Experience with QA and CI/CD tools, including GitHub/GitLab, runners, and checkers.
- Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Knowledge of ISO 26262 or a similar regulated environment and RTOS.
- Experience working in a Linux environment.
- Ability to build and flash images onto embedded targets.
