Purpose

Drive the district’s profitability by meeting or exceeding district sales and profit targets, coaching Store Leaders to drive commercial success and excel in customer service, and ensuring proper execution of established policies, procedures, initiatives, and directives.

Key Accountabilities

You lead, coach and develop

  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, training, and development efforts in partnership with HR, Talent Acquisition, and Retail Training.
  • Coach, motivate, and inspire Store Leaders to accomplish store goals and maximize performance.
  • Create a high-performance culture through clear expectations, performance analysis, and prompt feedback.
  • Own succession planning for the district.
  • Deliver best-practice implementation to drive retail performance.
  • Ensure compliance with established HR policies and procedures.

You lead a service culture

  • Drive a service and selling culture through leadership of the adidas Group service model.
  • Spend focused time on the sales floor during store visits to identify service improvements and coach Store Leaders.
  • Analyze Net Promoter Score results and communicate them to the district team.
  • Optimize the consumer experience through digital initiatives including ship-from-store, click and collect, and store associate mobile-device programs.

You lead store operations

  • Plan and prioritize structured store visits to maximize district performance.
  • Ensure compliance with adidas Retail Management Standards.
  • Lead change management initiatives.
  • Assess and recommend improvements to product commercial viability and availability.
  • Manage loss prevention, health, and safety risks.

You lead brand and product expertise

  • Act as a Brand Ambassador and consistently exhibit adidas Brand Attitude and Values.
  • Demonstrate passion for sport, culture, and community.
  • Maintain Retail Experience and Visual Excellence standards across district stores.
  • Partner with Retail Training to deliver brand, product, and learning programs.

You lead district profitability

  • Take full ownership of the district and its commercial success.
  • Analyze relevant data and challenge the status quo with Retail Back Office partners and Store Leaders.
  • Coach Store Leaders to increase sales, productivity, and profitability.
  • Ensure the legal and financial integrity of the district’s store portfolio.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Competence with personal computers, POS systems, and software packages including Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of profit and loss statements and store KPIs.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to make sound independent decisions and contribute to a positive team environment.
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time to stores within the designated district, sometimes with limited notice.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum five years in the retail industry in a sales or operations management position.
  • Strong experience in retail management and operations.
  • Multi-store management experience.
