Objective of job

As the component main responsible person, lead global display projects, including development, localization, and supplier management, in collaboration with different R&D localizations and cross-functional teams.

Focus on display electrical and electronic hardware as well as optical and mechanical design. Work with the current team to support other development projects and troubleshoot and diagnose related global rollout carlines.

Main tasks

Work with responsible China teams and suppliers on open-source localization evaluation and conduct proofs of concept where necessary.
Maintain close communication with R&D counterparts in Germany for knowledge building and exchange, including component and system development and testing.
Manage global display development projects through PPAP release to series production, ensuring parts are provided on time and meet required functions.
Work with the current team to support other development projects.
Work with cross-functional departments such as procurement, quality, and logistics to establish localization milestones and coordinate activities against tight schedules.
Support system and vehicle testing and release.

Qualifications

Education: University degree in mechanical, automotive, or electrical engineering.

Experience: Minimum five years of overall vehicle or component development experience at OEMs or suppliers, with proven experience in the display industry, including electrical and electronic component development and localization, CAD, electrical and electronic diagnostics and troubleshooting, vehicle-level electrical and electronic testing including CAN FD/Ethernet bus measurement, and optical and mechanical design and validation.

Specific knowledge:

Rich knowledge and experience in electrical and electronic systems, with familiarity with electrical and electronic architecture.
Knowledge of the MDS process is a plus.
Experience in development tasks, with a focus on display development and industrialization.
Understanding of communication and diagnostic protocols and experience with the Vector toolchain, including CANoe.
Ability to read and use electrical and electronic architecture topology.
Knowledge of and familiarity with NX, Smaragd, and diagnostic tools.
Chinese native speaker with fluent English language skills; German language skills are beneficial.

Strong planning and organizational skills.
Intercultural competence and communication skills across various hierarchy levels.
Willingness to travel within China and abroad to prepare for and support launches at joint ventures and suppliers.
