Purpose and overall relevance
Lead an integrated Productivity Planning function and optimization efforts across owned and third-party logistics distribution centers, ensuring planning, staffing, and productivity strategies align with enterprise business objectives.
Define and execute end-to-end distribution strategies, translating priorities into tactical and operational plans that drive performance across EP%, UPH, SLA/COTIF, cost, quality, and service metrics. Own node service delivery and performance outcomes across all channels while representing distribution center operations in senior leadership and cross-functional forums.
Key responsibilities
- Define and execute node strategies with Distribution Center Operations and 3PL partners.
- Own volume planning, capacity planning, workload prioritization, and execution alignment.
- Design and implement integrated labor planning and staffing models.
- Optimize throughput, labor utilization, channel prioritization, and capacity utilization.
- Drive continuous improvement, benchmarking, standardization, and scalable productivity solutions.
- Own on-time processing and shipping performance against operational KPIs.
- Establish KPI governance, action planning, performance tracking, and accountability routines.
- Represent operations in senior stakeholder and channel performance forums.
- Oversee 3PL planning, performance management, execution tracking, contractual adherence, and cost transparency.
- Lead annual budgeting and forecasting for distribution sites.
- Build and develop a high-performing, multifunctional team across planning, analytics, and continuous improvement.
- Provide strategic and operational support on ad hoc initiatives.
Qualifications
- Four-year college or university degree; MBA is a plus.
- Minimum of seven years of relevant work experience and/or training.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience are acceptable.
- In-depth knowledge of end-to-end planning processes, preferably in distribution, manufacturing, operations, or supply chain management.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills and strong analytical, logical thinking, querying, data analysis, reporting, visualization, and data modeling capabilities.
- Proven distribution center or manufacturing operations leadership experience.
- Strong communication, organization, collaboration, and team leadership skills.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
Work setting and benefits
