Purpose and Overall Relevance for the Organization
Lead an integrated Productivity Planning function and optimization efforts across owned and 3PL distribution centers, ensuring planning, staffing, and productivity strategies are aligned to enterprise business objectives. Define and execute end-to-end distribution strategies that drive performance across EP%, UPH, and SLA/COTIF metrics.
Own service delivery and performance outcomes for nodes, represent DC operations in senior leadership and cross-functional forums, and balance demand, capacity, staffing, and workload prioritization across all channels. Drive node-level KPI performance, financial planning, 3PL governance, continuous improvement, data and technology adoption, talent development, and operational excellence across DTC East and the broader DC network.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute node execution strategies with DC Operations and 3PL partners, ensuring SLA/COTIF delivery, cost efficiency, and quality metrics.
- Own volume planning and execution alignment, optimizing brand and channel allocations against DC capacity constraints.
- Lead capacity planning and execution visibility, providing insights into forecasts, daily processing plans, available capacity, and risks.
- Optimize throughput, labor utilization, and channel prioritization in partnership with site leadership.
- Design and implement integrated labor planning and staffing models aligned with forecasted volumes and workforce plans.
- Drive continuous improvement, productivity gains, cost reduction, and operational performance across nodes.
- Leverage network benchmarking and best practices to standardize and scale productivity improvements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally on supply chain solutions that improve service levels, profitability, and business growth.
- Own on-time processing and shipping performance and sustain plans to meet or exceed operational KPIs.
- Establish operational governance routines, KPI reviews, action planning, and performance tracking.
- Represent DC operations in senior stakeholder and channel performance forums and report monthly performance to SCM leadership and finance.
- Oversee planning, performance management, and execution tracking for 3PL operations.
- Lead annual budgeting and forecasting for distribution sites.
- Build and develop a high-performing, multifunctional team across planning, analytics, and continuous improvement.
- Provide strategic and operational support for ad hoc initiatives and critical business challenges.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- In-depth knowledge of end-to-end planning processes across distribution, manufacturing, operations, or supply chain management.
- Excellent communication skills across organizational levels.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- Strong analytical, logical thinking, querying, data analysis, reporting, visualization, and data modeling skills.
- Ability to achieve goals and deadlines, lead teams in a fast-paced environment, and adapt to change.
- Strong teamwork and leadership skills with diverse groups.
- Experience in distribution center or manufacturing operations leadership.
Minimum Qualifications
- Four-year college or university degree; MBA is a plus.
- Minimum of seven years of relevant work experience and/or training.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience are acceptable.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
