As a DevOps/Automation Engineer at Atos, you’ll work with a team of engineers and architects to deliver and maintain CI/CD tooling that supports DevOps teams in providing products to clients. You’ll work with various toolsets and communicate with external users. The team typically operates in a hybrid work model.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scripts to automate repetitive tasks, streamline deployments, and monitor infrastructure health.
- Use tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Bash, and Python to build automation solutions.
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, and CircleCI.
- Work with public cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud to manage infrastructure, deployments, and system monitoring.
- Optimize infrastructure for cost, performance, and scalability.
- Work with development, QA, and operations teams to define and implement best practices for deployment, monitoring, and automated testing.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging systems using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack.
- Apply security best practices, including securing secrets, managing user access, and meeting relevant compliance standards.
Required Skills
- Experience maintaining CI/CD development tools including Kubernetes, Kafka, Elastic, SonarQube, Red Hat OpenShift, and Ansible, mainly in a .NET or Java environment.
- Knowledge of cloud technologies including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
- Strong knowledge of the Java or .NET ecosystem.
- Experience with automated provisioning tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet, including installation, configuration, and upgrades.
- Ability to support team colleagues and advise clients.
- Experience linking tools and using REST APIs for integration and automation.
- Experience with the Kong API gateway is an advantage.
- Eagerness to learn new technologies.
