About the Job
Atos is looking for a DevOps Engineer based in Ankara or willing to relocate to Ankara. You will take ownership of core IT system infrastructure, including servers, storage, virtualization, and backup, as well as the day-to-day operation and continuous improvement of the DevOps environment. You will contribute to the reliable delivery of large-scale defence software solutions.
What You’ll Do
- Take responsibility for core IT systems, including server, storage, backup, virtualization, firewall, and VPN infrastructure.
- Design, install, configure, test, maintain, and regularly update IT systems and management tools.
- Ensure service availability, redundancy, and capacity management in a 24/7 production environment.
- Provide advanced technical support and perform root cause analysis for complex production, infrastructure, and deployment issues.
- Maintain system standards, operational procedures, network topologies, system inventories, and service documentation.
- Develop and maintain security, backup, disaster recovery, and redundancy strategies.
- Work with vendors, system administrators, and cross-functional teams to resolve problems.
- Automate manual or repetitive tasks using PowerShell, Bash, and Python across on-premises and restricted cloud environments.
What We’re Looking For
- At least 3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience in system engineering, system administration, DevOps, build and release engineering, or a hybrid technical role.
- Hands-on experience in server management, storage, backup solutions, virtualization, and infrastructure operations.
- Ability to provide second- and third-level support, conduct root cause analysis, and resolve issues across development, build, test, and production environments.
- Experience in software build, packaging, installation, and deployment activities.
- Experience managing and troubleshooting firewall and VPN infrastructures.
- Experience supporting systems and applications including Web Services and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Strong documentation and communication skills, with fluent written and spoken English.
- Residence in Ankara or willingness to relocate to Ankara.
Nice to Have
- Experience managing Azure Boards and automated CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with automated build, test, and deployment processes.
- Experience preparing software installation packages using MSI or Advanced Installer.
- Knowledge of source code management, branching strategies, dependencies, and artifact repositories such as npm, NuGet, Azure Artifacts, Nexus, or Artifactory.
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Terraform, ARM templates, Ansible, monitoring, logging, code-quality, or security-scanning tools.
- Experience working in air-gapped, on-premises environments.
