CACEIS is the depositary for a wide range of collective investments. Within the Client Portfolio Compliance division, Depositary Control ensures the compliance of French investment funds for which CACEIS acts as depositary.

Your team

You will join a team of around ten depositary controllers within the Depositary Control department, which has approximately sixty employees organised into five areas: depositary controllers, mission directors, audit and quality, business information systems, and fund operations.

Your responsibilities

  • Perform regulatory control assignments for clients in accordance with control specifications and control plans, including fund monitoring, ratio controls and inventory controls.
  • Carry out specific assignments such as audits and studies.
  • Work across all types of funds, including UCITS and alternative investment funds, and act as a direct contact for clients in conjunction with mission directors.
  • Analyse new fund prospectuses, monitor changes to existing funds and identify related financial and non-financial constraints.
  • Check compliance with investment restrictions and regulatory and specific ratios.
  • Analyse alerts, monitor breaches, inform clients and internal departments, and follow up on remediation.
  • Help improve the alert system through the configuration of constraints and reference data.
  • Control fund securities and cash reconciliations in coordination with accounting and custody departments.
  • Monitor cash, including cash reconciliation, flow monitoring and outstanding items.
  • For PERES funds, prepare periodic control analysis files covering reconciliations, ratios, net asset value and valuation, and suspense accounts.
  • Analyse discrepancies and outstanding items and help accelerate their resolution.
  • Participate in audits, specific controls and cross-functional studies, monitor fund developments and contribute to working groups on regulatory changes.

Profile

You hold at least a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, specialising in accounting or finance, and have 3 to 5 years of experience in depositary control, fund administration or fund structuring. You understand financial instruments and the regulatory and legislative framework for collective investments. You are organised, rigorous and analytical, work well within a team, and are comfortable managing varied activities to established deadlines.

You have good command of Microsoft Office. Knowledge of Bloomberg and Telekurs is an advantage. Operational English is required.

You will be supported by the team and your manager as you develop your skills. The position offers hybrid working.
