Department Manager - Nike Salem

NIKE, Inc. is looking for a Department Manager, referred to as a Coach, to lead a team at Nike Unite - Salem in Salem, NH. This full-time role requires 34–40 hours per week, including nights and weekends.

About the Role

As a Department Manager, you’ll be the face of NIKE, helping customers make the best decisions while leading your team to deliver outstanding service. You’ll train and coach employees, implement Nike’s Service Principles, foster an inclusive team environment, and represent Nike’s culture of sport, the brand, and the community.

You’ll use your retail expertise to drive store growth strategies, build community partnerships, and create positive experiences for customers, colleagues, and team members.

Qualifications

• Three years of customer-facing retail or hospitality experience
• One year of leadership experience
• Demonstrated ability to recruit, build, and lead high-performing teams
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and retail business systems
• Ability to bend, squat, reach, climb a ladder, and stand for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodations
• Proven ability to use tools for conflict resolution and employee coaching and counseling
• Ability to work mornings, weekends, nights, and holidays as needed

Responsibilities

• Lead a team and keep store functions running seamlessly
• Attract, assess, and onboard future teammates
• Equip store employees with the tools needed to succeed
• Lead store team performance and business results, including budgeting, planning, customer service, sales, and people management
• Manage the product life cycle from the stockroom to visual merchandising and the sales floor
