Behind every great team is a great coach. As a Department Manager at the Nike House of Innovation in NYC, you will lead, coach, and inspire your team to deliver exceptional customer experiences while supporting store growth and community partnerships.
Position Details
- Location: Nike House of Innovation – NYC, New York, NY
- Hours: Full-time, 34–40 hours per week, including nights and weekends
- Hourly rate: $32.08–$48.12, depending on location, qualifications, skills, and experience
Responsibilities
- Lead a team and ensure store functions run seamlessly.
- Attract, assess, and onboard future teammates.
- Equip store employees with the tools needed for their daily responsibilities.
- Lead team and business results, including budgeting, planning, customer service, sales, people leadership, and management.
- Manage the product life cycle from the stockroom to visual merchandising and the sales floor.
- Train your team and implement Nike Service Principles while representing Nike’s culture, brand, community, and commitment to sport.
Qualifications
- Three years of customer-facing retail or hospitality experience.
- One year of leadership experience.
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, build, and lead high-performing teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and retail business systems.
- Ability to bend, squat, reach, climb a ladder, and stand for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Ability to use tools for conflict resolution and employee coaching and counseling.
- Availability to work mornings, weekends, nights, and holidays as needed.
