Demand & Capacity Planner

Role – Demand & Capacity Manager

You will be part of a cross-team project team responsible for supply topics in the award process (VVP) and change management capacity design (ÄmKap).

• Coordinate requirements assessment across specialist purchasing, supplier management, model line management, development, sales, AMG and VAN.
• Determine quantity and capacity requirements during award preparation for Mercedes-Benz Cars architectures.
• Translate technical documentation into sales offer logic to enable evaluation by sales.
• Set up demand variants based on code rules and check their plausibility against installation rates using Boolean algebra.
• Determine quantity and capacity requirements for new product projects and model updates using strategic production planning figures.
• Manage capacity requirements through supplier selection, industrialization and supplier capacity queries.
• Clarify inconsistencies with partner areas and support successful capacity needs assessment.
• Secure supplier capacity early and sustain it through appropriate change management.

Qualifications

• Completed studies with a technical or business administration background.
• Professional experience in program planning, supplier management, sales or logistics.
• Knowledge of the sales order process, supply chain management, project management and product documentation.
• Very good knowledge of German and English.
• Very good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel.
• Knowledge of the Dialogue technical documentation system and SAP/KBM.
• Integration, teamwork and communication skills with a confident appearance.
• Analytical, conceptual, structured and process-oriented working style.
• Independence, initiative, problem-solving skills and flexibility.
