The Junior Associate, Data Product Development supports the development, launch, and ongoing operations of Mercedes-Benz data products and services that enhance the customer, dealer, and partner experience. Working closely with internal stakeholders, technology teams, external partners, and business functions, this role helps translate business needs into actionable initiatives and supports the successful delivery of data-driven solutions.

The position is responsible for conducting research and analysis, coordinating cross-functional activities, supporting data product initiatives, monitoring performance metrics, and assisting with operational processes throughout the development lifecycle. This role provides an opportunity to build expertise in connected vehicle data, APIs, data commercialization, digital services, and stakeholder engagement while contributing to strategic business initiatives across the Digital Experience organization.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate cross-functional activities to support the development and rollout of Mercedes-Benz data products and digital services.
  • Gather, document, and analyze business, customer, and market needs to support new data product opportunities and enhancements.
  • Support internal efforts related to data governance, compliance, legal review, and data release processes.
  • Prepare business cases, presentations, reports, and recommendations for data product initiatives and portfolio performance.
  • Work with internal technology and legal teams and external partners to support implementation, testing, issue tracking, and launch readiness.
  • Monitor product usage, customer feedback, and operational metrics to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Support customer onboarding, documentation, training materials, and stakeholder communications.
  • Build working knowledge of Mercedes-Benz USA connected vehicle data, APIs, digital services, and data commercialization strategies.

Qualifications

Education and availability

  • Undergraduate students: rising juniors and seniors in any business major or related discipline.
  • Graduate students: marketing, business, project management majors and concentrations preferred.
  • Available from November 2026 through October 2027.
  • In-person schedule three days weekly, up to 28 hours maximum, with availability during core working hours of 10 AM to 3 PM.
  • Project management experience leading projects, meeting timelines, and working with cross-functional teams.
  • Customer- and target-oriented thinking.
  • Strong self-motivation, organization, and ability to work in an agile environment.
  • Self-starter with highly developed attention to detail.
  • Third-party agency or vendor relationship coordination experience.
  • Flexibility and the ability to pivot as scopes change.
