We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of our Snowflake and dbt-based data pipelines. You will be responsible for implementing robust ELT solutions that efficiently transform data and provide valuable insights to the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance ELT data pipelines using Snowflake and dbt.
- Model data at conceptual and technical levels based on business requirements.
- Optimize SQL queries and dbt models to ensure optimal performance.
- Implement and maintain DataOps infrastructure for deployment automation.
- Configure and manage data security, including RBAC, Row-Level Security, and Dynamic Data Masking.
- Ensure efficient data ingestion from AWS S3 to Snowflake.
- Orchestrate data flows through dbt and create DAGs with proper tag management.
- Implement data quality testing via dbt tests.
- Manage administrative aspects of Snowflake databases.
Required Technical Skills
- Snowflake: Mastery of advanced features such as Time Travel and Zero-Copy Cloning; warehouse configuration and optimization; external stages and Snowpipe; RBAC, RLS, and Dynamic Data Masking; and database administration.
- dbt: Advanced SQL model development, data model creation and optimization, Jinja macros, dbt tests, snapshots, DAGs, tag and dependency management, and documentation.
- DataOps & Automation: Schemachange, CI/CD for data pipelines, Git, and collaborative development workflows.
- AWS & Integration: AWS S3 and its integration with Snowflake, including external stages and ingestion processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Snowflake Tasks and Dynamic Tables.
- Knowledge of data mesh and data governance principles.
- Familiarity with data testing frameworks.
- Experience in pharmaceutical or life sciences.
Certifications
- SnowPro Core Certification is highly valued.
- dbt Analytics Engineering Certification is a plus.
- AWS certifications such as Solutions Architect or Data Engineer are a plus.

Experience and Education
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in data engineering.
- Significant experience with Snowflake and dbt.
- Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a similar field.
- Advanced Snowflake certifications are appreciated.
