Current Onin Team Members - CONVERSION

Assemblers at Mercedes-Benz Vans work within a team in an assembly-line environment building state-of-the-art vans for the American automotive market.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the assembly.
• Check production documents for completeness.
• Inspect incoming parts for completeness and quality.
• Provide feedback on missing or incomplete documents or parts.
• Assemble components and assemblies according to work instructions.
• Mount assemblies and components at various stations within the allotted timeframe.
• Report self-discovered defects and errors.
• Ensure the assembly meets high quality standards.
• Perform maintenance work according to specifications, including tool maintenance, housekeeping and Total Production Maintenance.
• Participate in the Continuous Improvement Process.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• One or more years of relevant manufacturing experience or a Lean Manufacturing certificate preferred.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
• Basic familiarity with hand and power tools.
• Preferred experience in automotive production.
