Core Network Engineer (Mid-Level)

Your Role
As a Core Network Engineer (Mid-Level), you will be involved in the design, implementation, and support of Core Network solutions, with exposure to Packet Core and IMS environments. You will contribute to project activities across different phases, working closely with senior engineers, project teams, customers, and operations.
This role is suitable for engineers who already have solid hands-on experience and are ready to grow their technical autonomy and scope of responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the design, deployment, integration, and migration of Core Network solutions
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation such as HLD, LLD, CIQ, and operational procedures
- Participate in testing activities, go-live preparation, migrations, and software upgrade tasks
- Assist in troubleshooting, incident analysis, and technical issue resolution
- Support change management activities and follow established delivery and quality processes
- Contribute to handover activities to Care / Operations teams
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the delivery lifecycle
- Contribute to knowledge sharing, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives
Your Profile
- More than 4 years of experience in Core Network engineering roles, with exposure to Packet Core and/or IMS
- Hands-on experience in Core Network design and delivery activities, including HLD, LLD, and CIQ
- Experience with deployment and integration of Core Network network elements
- Experience with software upgrades and post-deployment support
- Understanding of the Core Network delivery lifecycle, from solution implementation to operational handover
- Experience or familiarity with system, functional, and non-functional testing
- Experience with MOP preparation and execution
- Basic troubleshooting, trace analysis, and incident handling skills
- Ability to work under guidance while progressively taking ownership of assigned technical tasks
- Good communication skills and comfort working within project teams and with customers
- Structured, quality-oriented, and proactive approach
- Willingness to learn, document work, and support continuous improvement
