Your role
As a Converter Control Engineer, you’ll design, simulate, and validate control systems for grid-connected power converters in wind turbines. You’ll develop control algorithms using MATLAB/Simulink to ensure grid code compliance and optimal turbine performance.
Key responsibilities
- Design control strategies for grid-connected converters.
- Develop control algorithms using MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, or PSCAD.
- Perform time-domain and frequency-domain analysis.
- Support field troubleshooting of converter issues.
- Collaborate with electrical design, software, and grid compliance teams.
- Contribute to grid code compliance assessments.
- Prepare technical documentation and participate in design reviews.
Your profile
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, or Power Electronics.
- 3+ years in the power converter industry, preferably in energy.
- Knowledge of grid-connected converter control design.
- Experience with power electronics control and three-phase converters.
- Understanding of DQO, sequence, and phasor representations.
- Experience with MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, or PSCAD.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
