Your Role

As a Content Designer, you will join Capgemini Invent’s Digital Excellence community, working on user-centred design, critical thinking, problem solving, and digital services and products.

You will champion inclusive design practices throughout project lifecycles by engaging with diverse user research, applying accessibility guidelines and legislation, and advocating for inclusive design principles. You will work with major public- and private-sector clients and may travel to client locations depending on the project. The role offers hybrid working.

  • Identify and build strong client relationships across projects.
  • Create and iterate accurate, user-centred content that meets user needs.
  • Use analytics, user feedback, and research to identify user needs and map journeys.
  • Make complex language and processes easy to understand.
  • Bring new ideas and challenge the status quo.
  • Advocate for user-centred design and iterative, agile approaches.

Skills and experience

  • Strong understanding of user-centred design principles and best practice.
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary Agile teams to design and deliver user-centred services.
  • Experience designing content for diverse users, including accessibility and assisted digital needs.
  • Existing SC clearance or eligibility to qualify for it through UK residency requirements.
  • Experience with Government Digital Service standards and design principles.
  • Experience with accessibility standards and legislation, including WCAG.
  • Experience writing inclusive content in plain English.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable experience

  • Experience in complex regulatory environments or consulting for private-sector clients.
  • Accessibility certifications such as CPACC, WAS, or CPWA.
  • Experience testing assistive technologies such as JAWS, Dragon, and ZoomText.
  • Service Design or Design Thinking qualifications or certifications.
  • Experience delivering Service Design or Design Thinking training.
  • Experience managing and leading high-performing teams.
  • Experience with Miro, Mural, Teams, and PowerPoint.
