Consultant/Senior Consultant - Digital Engineering

About the role
As part of Capgemini Invent's Digital Engineering team, you will work on high-profile projects with leading organisations to define and deliver engineering transformation. You will help clients use digital technologies and innovative operating models to transform engineering functions and align hardware and software for future-ready products.
The work spans the full product lifecycle, from design and development through engineering operations, manufacturing, and through-life support and improvement. You will help clients build the case for change, identify opportunities for value creation, define transformation roadmaps, and deliver digital initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead or contribute to proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, and client pitches.
- Contribute to campaigns, internal think-tanks, whitepapers, practice development, and offering development.
- Support learning and development through training and certifications.
- Deliver engineering change projects, digital transformations, operating model redesigns, and improvements across engineering and design operations.
Experience and skills
- Previous consulting experience and the ability to mobilise and manage projects through successful delivery.
- Strong understanding of engineering operations and product development across sectors including Automotive, Aerospace & Defence, Industrial Engineering, FMCG, and Life Sciences.
- Experience with engineering and product lifecycle platforms such as PLM and MBSE, and their integration with ERP and MES.
- Knowledge of digital engineering concepts including digital twins, AI applications in engineering, and data-driven design and development.
- Experience designing and implementing engineering operating models, process optimisation, governance, and digital technology integration.
- Experience delivering engineering and digital transformation programmes, including change management and stakeholder engagement.
- Experience with Agile, Lean, programme and portfolio management, enterprise architecture, proposition building, or matrixed organisations is advantageous.
