Senior Ruby on Rails Developer
Work Location: Mumbai, Bangalore & Chennai
Experience: 10+ years
- 12–15 years of experience in Ruby on Rails development.
- Work closely with the Product Owner to understand the product roadmap, define feature rollouts, build the product backlog, and plan sprints.
- Coordinate work allocations among developers and testers across multiple locations.
- Use Jira, weekly and monthly reports, and sprint retrospectives.
- Experience with Ruby on Rails and common libraries such as RSpec and Resque.
- Good understanding of server-side templating languages such as Liquid and Slim.
- Good understanding of server-side CSS preprocessors such as Sass.
- Basic understanding of JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Write clean, readable Ruby code and troubleshoot coding challenges with developers.
- Integrate multiple data sources and databases into one system.
- Understand fundamental design principles for scalable applications.
- Create database schemas that represent and support business processes.
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git, Mercurial, or SVN.
- Familiarity with development tools such as Bower, Bundler, and Rake.
