Job description
Within the Fund Execution department, the Client Operations Officer - Fund Execution is primarily responsible for opening accounts with transfer agents on behalf of CACEIS BANK clients, including funds and institutional clients, and carrying out the research, verification and setup required for fund units in which clients wish to invest. The role also handles transfer orders for clients.
You will work closely with the team responsible for executing fund-unit orders and the team handling client requests to make operations as smooth, automated and secure as possible.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Opening accounts with transfer agents for daily activity, new client accounts and incoming migrations.
- Checking account-opening requests.
- Interacting with transfer agents regarding AML/KYC documentation and related queries.
- Communicating with transfer agents and following up on their requests.
- Monitoring the specific features of underlying funds.
- Setting up accounts in reference systems to automate order processing.
- Processing mailboxes.
- Referencing target funds in reference systems based on each fund's application forms.
- Implementing controls for key data, including transfer agents, order-transmission details, payment instructions, transmission media, cut-off times and settlement cycles.
- Placing transfer orders with transfer agents, recording them in internal systems and monitoring their settlement.
You will join a dynamic team in a rapidly developing activity involving significant risk-management, communication and efficiency challenges. The role includes internal and external contact with Fund Execution colleagues, transfer agents and Relationship Managers.
Requirements
- Finance degree, with knowledge of financial markets and investment-fund operations.
- 0–2 years of experience.
- Autonomous, rigorous, proactive and able to take initiative.
- Strong interpersonal and customer-service skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken.
