Job Description
- Perform full vehicle model build up starting from meshing using Ansa.
- Independently perform full vehicle crash simulations for various regulatory and rating loadcases, including frontal, side, rear and rollover loadcases.
- Perform component/sub-system level quasistatic simulations such as seat, door and roof loadcases.
- Interpret simulation results, develop countermeasures and drive design optimization and improvements.
- Perform detailed post-test analysis and correlation of simulation results with physical tests.
- Prepare extensive technical reports based on CAE evaluations and present them in various forums.
- Work closely with cross functional teams like Design, Manufacturing and Testing to develop technically feasible solutions and countermeasures.
Qualification
- Education: B. Tech/ M. Tech.
- Stream: Mechanical/ Automotive.
- Number of years’ experience: 6+ years.
Tool Know-How
- Expert knowledge of explicit solver – LS-Dyna.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Ansa. Know-how of Primer will be an added advantage.
- Proficiency in post-processors like Meta-post or Animator.
Technical Know-How
- Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals and Finite element analysis.
- Knowledge of automotive crash structures and energy management, materials and joining methods.
- Basic knowledge of cross functional attributes like NVH and Durability.
Product Know-How
- Working knowledge in automotive structures and sub-assemblies.
- Knowledge of high voltage component safety in automotive crash.
- Basic understanding of various restraint systems in cars.
Other Skills
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to work in fast-paced development cycles.
- Scripting and automation experience will be an added advantage.
- Experience in using Linux OS.
