Job description
You have proven experience in support functions for trading activities, gained within a broker, execution bank or software vendor. You want to apply your technical skills and interest in a cross-functional role working with the Front Office, technology partners and clients.
Your team
You will join the three-person Business Support Execution Services team based in Paris. The team supports Execution Services, which provides a multi-asset offering across more than 100 markets in Europe, the USA and APAC, covering equities, ETFs, bonds and listed derivatives across rates, securities, indices, commodities, agricultural derivatives and FX.
Your missions
As a strategic pivot between the Front Office, IT and technology partners, you will support the evolution and performance of execution platforms.
You will manage trading solutions for brokerage activities in equities, ETFs, listed derivatives and bonds, ensuring high-quality connectivity and technical expertise.
Solutions and roadmap management
- Administer and optimize reference trading platforms, including Fidessa/ION and Ullink/BTCS.
- Manage supplier relationships, challenge releases and coordinate major upgrades.
- Gather and prioritize business requirements, translating traders’ needs into functional and technical specifications.
- Maintain a permanent link between trading desks, IT teams and external service providers.
Connectivity and flow engineering
- Master the FIX protocol for client onboarding, including DMA, Algo and Care, and connectivity to exchanges, brokers and counterparties.
- Document order-routing workflows, define API mappings and lead technical certifications.
Data and automation
- Use SQL to extract transactional data and troubleshoot complex issues.
- Use Python to automate testing and monitoring, and VBA to create tactical tools.
The internal reference job title is Project Lead.
Skills sought
- In-depth knowledge of the full Front-to-Back order lifecycle for equities, derivatives and bonds.
- Strong knowledge of the FIX protocol.
- Significant experience with Fidessa (ION), Ullink (BTCS) or an equivalent platform.
- Advanced SQL skills and operational Python skills for automation.
- Strong interpersonal skills for working with demanding internal and external stakeholders.
- A structured, analytical and problem-solving mindset in critical environments.
- High autonomy and responsibility, with the ability to manage an entire scope and ensure service quality.
