Brand Manager

Purpose of the role

As a Brand Manager, you will direct and manage the strategy for a designated brand to meet the company-defined brand and portfolio ambition. You will develop, implement, integrate and evaluate brand and promotional plans, contribute to the annual commercial strategy, and work closely with the Marketing Manager and Brand Executive.

Responsibilities

• Monitor consumer and shopper behaviour, turn insights into action, and support brand growth.
• Manage portfolio performance, category and segment drivers, portfolio strategy, brand roles and sources of growth.
• Lead integrated commercial planning across Brand, Trade Marketing and Sales.
• Lead brand strategy development, positioning, activation, brand health and performance tracking.
• Plan touchpoints and campaigns, coordinate cross-functional support, optimise activity and measure ROI.
• Manage agencies, creative development, production, campaign evaluation and content delivery.
• Manage brand budgets, profitability, SKU performance, promotions and consumer value perception.
• Support innovation and renovation by applying category knowledge, consumer trends and growth sources.
• Align Commercial functions for activity rollouts and ensure responsible marketing compliance.
• Understand distributors, wholesalers, retailers, route-to-market options, channels and shopper drivers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant marketing experience, preferably in FMCG, with the latest role at Brand Management level.
• Knowledge and skills in brand management, positioning and consumer segmentation.
• Product or SKU launch experience.
• Ability to analyse and apply market research results to brand strategy and plans.
• Negotiation skills and experience managing marketing budgets.
• People management experience.
